Lead planner Jessica Hunnell has worn many hats in the wedding field, and was Day of Pgh’s first ever assistant back in 2018! She’s assisted in coordinating weddings for Allegheny County Venues--including Hartwood Acres Mansion and the Allegheny County Courthouse--plus member events at The Edgewood Country Club. She’s the current brand ambassador for luxury patio home builder, Scarmazzi Homes, and supports with their sales and marketing efforts.
She also has experience in wedding floral arrangement!
When Jess runs the show, couples can expect nothing but positive vibes, a drink in their hands at all times, and no detail forgotten.
Her favorite part of the day?

We tried to keep things relatively simple which was our ‘vision’ (a GREAT party with awesome food, drinks, & music) & naturally, the pandemic forced our hand a couple of times (the ultimate unknown). Heather helped us navigate the ups and downs of 2020/2021 and made us feel at ease. The day of, Jess & her assistant were like ninjas - getting everything set-up and working behind the scenes.
I would hire them time & time again and they were truly worth every penny. Heather, Jess, and the whole team are kind, generous, extremely hard-working, and they do things the right way.

If you’re looking for a wedding planner …look no further. These ladies are top notch. Heather was my main go to for about a year leading up to the wedding and she helped assure me I was on track and let me know when I wasn’t and what I needed to do. She also helped me think of little things I may have totally forgotten without her.
My lead planner was Jess, and seriously we could not have done it without her! She came to rehearsal and suffered through my husbands panic of the rainy weather and helped us both stay calm day of when we had to make a last minute decision to brave the rain or not. We had a little issue with our shuttle showing up and I had no idea until the day after the wedding. She was THAT good. Jess brought us food during cocktail hour, and made sure I was on time and where I needed to be. Truly love these girls and I 100% recommend!

From making sure vendors are showing up and doing what they are supposed to be doing, to coordinating the ceremony lineup, ushering guests to the shuttle, bustling my dress, grabbing me Blue Moons, immediately putting out any fires that occur, and so much more... Jess was nothing short of amazing.
Guests may not remember every little detail of your day, but what they WILL remember is if things are not organized. And I can’t tell you how many compliments we received the day after of how seamless everything was. I have Heather and her team to thank for that!
This is hands down the best money I spent on my wedding and I highly recommend to any bride who may be on the fence of whether they need it or not.
