Hey! I’m Heather Davis. And I’m a bit of a wedding industry renegade.

I started Day of Pittsburgh at the desk of my 9-5 nonprofit job with a black jumpsuit and a dream. I don’t believe in traditions, but hearing Ave Maria flood the halls of Heinz Chapel will trigger the happiest tears. I find The Knot to be an atrocity, and I take The Pittsburgh Cookie Table a little too seriously.

I will 100% dance the last dance of your reception while blowing out votive candles. Burlap as a decoration makes my skin crawl, and your to-the-minute wedding day timeline I create should be printed and framed on your living room wall.

While I only lead a few weddings per year nowadays, every single #dayofpgh couple has a piece of my heart.

I drink too much prosecco, host an obnoxious wedding industry podcast, run a consulting biz for wedding pros, and do the most on the dance floor. I blame my hustle (and accent) on my Long Island roots, and my compulsive need to be part of an authentic, inclusive community on the city my husband Andy and I choose to call home: Pittsburgh, PA.

We’re proud parents of Little Mister Hugo, who was interested in politics at a very young age. JK lmao he’s a dog and I watch too much Succession.

I’ve been dreaming of the upcoming wedding season since I cued my first bride down the aisle, and y’all know this is true: The best is yet to come.

    Though Day of Pittsburgh technically was our ‘day of’ planner, Heather served as so much more than that! She was our hype woman, confidant, ally, cheerleader, and therapist throughout the months leading up to our wedding and during the big day.

    Heather and her team corralled key vendors, ensured our wedding day was FLAWLESS and enabled us to worry about nothing more than having fun. Our bridal party all fell in love with her (and her energy!) Even though we hired some of the best vendors in the city of Pittsburgh, we firmly believe that without Heather, our wedding would not have been as smoothly run or enjoyable for our guests.
